Leguminous

Alfalfa Tigresa

From Argentina.

Group 9.

This material adapts to Argentine productive requirements which sprout occurs at a rapid pace in a post-cutting stage.

This is ideal for intense milk and meat production. Ideal for crops of pure alfalfa as well as for bends with grasses, as such material leads to production levels with an utterly good performance in winter.

The size of crowns is pretty good thanks to the dormancy group they fall within. Besides, they have a large number of leaves.

Technological Protection System
Effect on leguminous plants

STP is a Technological Protection System which comprises a series of techniques introduced into each seed in order to protect and assure their development from the source. When seeds are treated under the STP, they are protected against both trips and aphids by causing a lower number of risks during the planting stage and by achieving better stands of crops. In addition, these seeds develop more vigorously by giving rise to a higher production rate; hence, a larger volume of forage is achieved.

Advantages of the STP

It protects alfalfa against the attack by trips and aphids during the early planting stage by assuring that plots of land will remain in good conditions from the very beginning.

It improves the initial stands of plants. Hence, such stands will be better than those achieved by way of pulverizations applied at a post-emerging stage.

It enhances the forage yield during the first year of production upon the presence or absence of the involved plagues (trips and aphids).

Due to its invigorating effect, it is possible to bring the first grazing stage forward by strategically improving the available volume of grass along the planting year.

It succeeds in considerably diminishing the cost of dry matter production since the STP technology cost coincides with that of the poorly effective insecticide applications which are more frequently used today.
